Welcome to Emily The Vampire Slayer, my name is Emily (surprised?) & this is my personal webspace that is free for me to say as I like in. You don't agree with my ramblings? That's fine, leave. I'm not out to offend or upset anyone but, like most, I'm very opiniated... that can often get in the way of my desire to be friends with everyone I meet because I won't drop my beliefs for anyone. Why should I? But feel free to take a look around and comment my blogs. Any questions, issues or complaints can be addressed here.

The sun is out, the skies are blue, there's not a cloud to spoil the view but I have a fucking History exam. That's about the upshot of it. You will, of course, be very upset to hear that I don't have another video blog for you - am I right? Hehe, it takes too long because I can never do it right in one go and then I've got to do the whole uploading it to Youtube process (like watching paint dry), so I've skipped that this time but I'll probably be back with more of my filmed ramblings of nonsense and constant ums, ers and stuttering sooner or later. I shouldn't be on here, I should be revising for the History exam tomorrow, but I don't know what to go over... I know the Prime Ministers, the dates and a few of their more memorable screw-ups, is there actually anything else to know? I think I've got the basic gist of modern British history (try: country ruled by mindless monkeys), so let us cross our fingers and hope for the bloody best!
If you have already found your way over to my 'Fan' section, you will have realised that I now have a brand new collective hosted separately from this one. I've wanted to do that for some time now, I know I could have gone for the whole http://fan.emilythevampireslayer.com approach but my domain name is too God damn long for that, it just looks stupid. So instead I applied for free Subdomain hosting at Bubble.nu and was luckily accepted. I am slowly but surely updating every single one of my 800+ joined fanlistings to the new URL but, in the meantime, I've left the 'Joined fanlistings' section up on this site so that my link doesn't get deleted. In fact, while I'm at it, I may as well post my fanlisting updates here; I have recently adopted out the Eastenders TV show fanlisting to Ed, whereas on the other angle I have adopted the Buffy The Vampire Slayer episode fanlisting: Selfless from Brandon. I haven't heard back on the James Marsters physical yet so I'm here fretting and hyperventilating as always. Haha, what a freak. I have also - shock, horror - completed all outstanding episode fanlistings. Some of the layouts are about 15 million times better than the others so I will be updating them all soon but at least I've managed to get the finished form submitted successfully. I have also finished Lord Piccolo and the hatelisting for Miley Cyrus. I have updated the Danny Strong fanlisting and given it a well-needed makeoever, as well as joining the fanlistings for some Harry Potter characters that I can't believe I didn't join before. In fact, the other day I noticed that I hadn't even joined the fanlisting for the Harry Potter series or J.K.Rowling so I will definitely be doing so shortly. I have recently acquired a load of amazing new affiliates for many of the fanlistings, too many to list, in fact. Anyway, updates over, here's the new collective:
Ich bin genius, no? Hehe. I am proud of the name as well, it was another one of my funky little ideas... you see, 'Emily The Vampire Slayer' is 'Emily The Fan' in this case. Oh yes. By the way, I wasn't being funny with my opening line, the weather is absolutely gorgeous and sometimes a little too stifling (in the North of friggin England!), but yesterday I was in the garden attempting to get a tan and not only did I fail, but the only part of my body which the sun affected was my nose (which turned bright red). Moving swiftly back onto the site subject, I'm thinking of starting up yet another but there will be a number of issues to consider. First, it will be a fanfiction site predominantly Spike/Buffy and a lot of the content will feature some adult elements, this could pose problems with finding a willing host. Second, I need to make sure I have enough time to build and maintain this site and that there is going to be enough stories on it to make the site worthwhile, otherwise there's no point. So, it's something that is on the cards but may not be a thing of urgency, more likely a nice pretty little speck on the horizon... look out for further notices.
In my real life of reading, I am absorbing Raymond Chandler's The Big Sleep, which is pretty good, except I would maybe like a little bit more sexiness and a little less killing; ahh well, sometimes you have to accept the fact that you have committed yourself to a crime and detective novel rather than erotica. Perhaps unfortunately so. If you are curious about the book, I shall offer a little summary:
Los Angeles private investigator Philip Marlowe is working for the Sternwood family. Old man Sternwood, crippled and wheelchair-bound, is being given the squeeze by a blackmailer and he wants Marlowe to make the problem go away. But with Sternwood's two wild, devil-may-care daughters prowling LA's seedy backstreets, Marlowe's got his work cut out - and that's before he stumbles over the first corpse...
Do you like it? I thought so. I did go see Angels & Demons by the way. Everyone was saying it would be crap but I enjoyed it, I found it so much better than the Da Vinci Code; also, I'm not religious but I like biblical elements in films - it usually makes them pretty interesting. Good then, I think I'm done now. I have nothing much more to say only a quick note that I hope Labour doesn't win the next election. Everyone is saying they won't and I don't see how they could, but... well, you never know. I'm not even sure that a Conservative Government is the answer, with the latest expenses scandal it's becoming blindingly obvious that most politicians are out for what they can get (surprise, surprise), but David Cameron has proven he's got more about him lately than Gordon Brown ever has. I mean, honestly, does that man have one single bloody clue what he's doing? All the newspapers are saying that Labour may even come in a humiliating third behind the UKIP. Good, in fact I'd quite like to see the UKIP win; for one, I think the European Union is doing nothing to help our country and equally we need a new Government, something shiny and fresh. Labour and the Conservatives are draining this country of everything good. Some people, however, relate the UKIP to the BNP because they have similiar policies... which is right, they do, but the BNP has good policies if they weren't such ignorant racists - the joke is that apart from that, they've got it right! Oh well, I'd better leave now and go prepare for history but I'll keep my fingers tightly crossed for the James Marsters physical fanlisting, success in tomorrow's history exam and that long overdue change for the better.
