Welcome To The Hellmouth
Opened: August 8, 2008

Welcome to Emily The Vampire Slayer, my name is Emily (surprised?) & this is my personal webspace that is free for me to say as I like in. You don't agree with my ramblings? That's fine, leave. I'm not out to offend or upset anyone but, like most, I'm very opiniated... that can often get in the way of my desire to be friends with everyone I meet because I won't drop my beliefs for anyone. Why should I? But feel free to take a look around and comment my blogs. Any questions, issues or complaints can be addressed here.

The Emily Approach To Abnormality

17.05.09
So... where the hell have I been?? I checked my site this weekend and realised it's almost a month since I last updated, I guess I've been busier than I thought. I have so much to say as well, can you believe I haven't been on here to at least scream like a maniac about how wonderful James' concert was, or to tell you that my pregnant cat has given birth to four little baby kittens? Believe me, I've blogged about far less. Sometimes I've just been trying to sound interesting by whining about life and commenting on books I've recently read or films I've recently seen. I think part of the reason I haven't been on has been due to exams, part of the reason has been due to laziness and part of the reason has been the slight turmoil that has been my life for the past few weeks. There's no need to elaborate, honestly, I'd just depress you. By the way, in site news, I now have a web page translator. I've wanted one for a while but I always reckoned that the coding would be some really complicated script that I'd have to paste here, there and everywhere; as it turns out it's only one simple piece of html found here.
Back to those random little notices I began with: so I went to London with Jack, he was wonderful... except he won't go to Hallowhedon with me (damn him!) because he's at a bloody Green Day concert. What the hell? Where's the contest in Whedonverse vs Green Day (AKA annoying wannabe rock legends)? Alright, yep, I'm doing that stupid tangent thing again... so the concert was brilliant, we queued for over 3 hours to get in which was less than fun but we did get talking to this American woman called Vicky from San Francisco. We started mildly and it escalated into a big heated discussion about Politics, both in the UK and in the US. It was largely centred around illegal immigrants and the fact that she wants to move to England but she's not allowed when thousands of others move here all the time illegally. It's a sad and nasty truth. When we finally got into the concert we took our seat in the pews and I sent Jack to buy me a Captain John Torchwood Figure - so, yay, I finally have one! James looked good as always, he's such a flirt... I read his Q&A session on his website for May and he said that: "I think I understand too much about the opposite sex". Normally, I would be thinking "what a prick" but, to be honest, he sort of gets away with it because he's cool and I do like him quite a bit.
Oh, and here's the little baby kitties. They are so beautiful, there's one black and white one, one tabby, one ginger and black and another all black. The fully black one is a boy (and we've been calling him Othello) and the rest are girls. We've decided to keep one (the tabby one) and we're going to call her Blair after the Gossip Girl Character which I thought was kinda cool :). Our Willow has been so protective of her babies, you should have seen the look on her face when the vet was handling them: nicht so gut! Off the subject of cats, though, I had my first exam on Friday in Psychology... it was okay. Yeah, just okay, I'm hoping it should balance out well because I got an 'A' in my January exam. Tomorrow is Critical Thinking, which should be fantastic (that was sarcasm by the way). At least I don't have to worry about Maths, and not because I think I'll do well but because I know I won't... no point worrying over what you know is going to happen anyway. I am a bit confused about Progression Module, however, because I missed the bloody interview and I don't know if I can still complete the course, the plan is to ask Mr Daly tomorrow.
The last subject I'd like to post about is a short message on fanlistings. Today I closed a bunch, I've tried putting them up for adoption numerous times but I received nothing back so they are officially gone and I'll probably close some more shortly. I am keeping all Buffy-related listings, and Angel too as well as some others. But I neither have the time or patience to keep updating a load of fanlistings that I'm not overly bothered about; instead I've got some others in mind that I'd like so I'll be applying for them. I recently applied for the Dragonball Evolution character: Piccolo, largely because he was portrayed by James Marsters in the movie and I've still got the bunch of episode approvals from before that I've asked for an extension on. I finished Mercedes Mcnab finally, with major help from the layout designs at 99mockingbirds. Fanlistings that I am thinking of applying for soon are: Great Britain (countries), Turkey: Kusadasi (towns/cities), England: York (towns/cities). I just hope they don't say I can't have Great Britain because it's the same as the United Kingdom because that would technically be incorrect. Anyway, we shall see. Bye then people for now.
