Welcome to
Emily The Vampire Slayer, my name is Emily (
surprised?) & this is my personal webspace that is free for me to say as I like in. You don't agree with my ramblings? That's fine, leave. I'm not out to offend or upset anyone but, like most, I'm very opiniated... that can often get in the way of my desire to be friends with everyone I meet because I won't drop my beliefs for anyone.
Why should I? But feel free to take a look around and comment my blogs. Any questions, issues or complaints can be addressed
here.

Twas the night before School starts and all through the house, not a creature was stirring except
Emily. Why? Because maybe I'm really awesome and rebellious staying up late on a College night. Either that or I'm stupid - both seem pretty likely. I called this blog the 'Cure for Cold Turkey' - as in withdrawal... and no, not the dirty meaning; withdrawal as in the awful feeling when you begin to give up on an addiction (e.g. giving up smoking when you're addicted). And th cure is? Simple, start indulging in your addiction again! May not be sensible, but it sure cures cold Turkey. That's what I did. A while ago I gave up on my fanlistings; I only updated when many people had applied and I never sent in new applications even though I was often tempted. But then I got the Bill Bryson obsession and knew he didn't have a fanlisting... so I gave it a go, just to see if I would be accepted. And I was. You can view the finished fanlisting
here. I also got an email saying that I still hadn't been removed for the Margaret Thatcher fanlisting and I could still build that too if I wanted.
So I did. I was on a roll, so I applied for and built fanlistings for
Leeds (city) and
Winston Churchill. In fact, I can't believe there wasn't one already for Winston Churchill - I mean, he may have been a git at times, but he was truly a great leader. It doesn't stop there, I have also been accepted to build
Nancy Astor and
The Conservative Party (Tory) as well as awaiting feedback from: Cameron Frye (Ferris Bueller's Day Off), Reflection (Lea Salonga - Mulan), Jilly Cooper (Author), I Don't Know How To Love Him (Songs: Various) and Dad's Army (TV Show). Wow, I am truly expanding. Charlie Swan from Twilight, on the other hand, has been put up for adoption because I really don't care that much anymore. I like Twilight and Robert Pattinson is hot, but I'm hardly a crazy fangirl over it; I even removed it from my wishlist and finally got Stephen Fry up instead.
On another note, I went to
Twitter and made an account,

but so far I'm not seeing what all the fuss is about. It's supposed to be the 'big thing' at the minute but it all seems rather pointless to me. Anyway, click on the thumbnail to view my twitter page, I'm sure I'll get into it. By the way, it was my sister's birthday today, her friends stayed over last night and then we went round White Rose this afternoon where I indulged myself in lots of new knickers - quite seriously. I have these amazing Union Jack pants! And Union Jack socks and I really, really want a Rolling Stones T-shirt like
this one. I've become slightly addicted to the Union Jack, it's not a weird patriotic thing, I just think it's really pretty. I even found my dream car (before I can even drive, haha) right
here. Um, and I also finally won the 'Young Adam' DVD on Ebay but I payed slightly more for it than I would have liked... ahh, well, it's mine now and what the Heck. Oh, and York the other day was amazing - did I say? I went to York Minster and took beautiful pictures that are now in my tour album and I bought some little souveneirs to amuse myself; then Leeds the next day was even better, we went ice-skating on the outdoor rink in Millenium Square. I didn't fall until about thirty seconds before the end of the session (bugger!) but a cute guy helped me up. And I forgot to mention what I was going to about Chelsey's birthday... I wrote her a little poem that I put in her card, here it is:
Oh Chelsey, it's true
You've come of age
Yet not for booze or sex
And if I should catch you smoking pot
I'll wring your little neck.
But no, yours is so much better
Off to the Cinema you'll go
To watch those naughty 12A films
Without our Mum in tow.
And if you shouldn't feel good about this
Just remember Jake's little trick
Said he was 10 when he was supposed to be 12
Now you'll never have to be that thick.
In loving memory of your 12th birthday and Emily, who wrote this artistic piece.
Did you like it? Bet you didn't even get the most of it - did you? Hehe.
