Welcome to
Emily The Vampire Slayer, my name is Emily (
surprised?) & this is my personal webspace that is free for me to say as I like in. You don't agree with my ramblings? That's fine, leave. I'm not out to offend or upset anyone but, like most, I'm very opiniated... that can often get in the way of my desire to be friends with everyone I meet because I won't drop my beliefs for anyone.
Why should I? But feel free to take a look around and comment my blogs. Any questions, issues or complaints can be addressed
here.

Life in Altofts is perky as always, whatever you would like to gather from that word. I would like to take a moment to admit that I searched Altofts in Wikipedia... I mean, I didn't think anything would actually come up for such a tiny town with a population of about 3,000. Turns out that I forgot all about
Sir Martin Frobisher, pretty strange because my first school was called: 'Martin Frobisher Infant School'. Point is, he was an explorer during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I and he played a part in much of the discovery of new lands like America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. In fact, Frobisher Bay in Canada is named after him. Do you like to

There you go, a pointless piece of information for you - but Hell, I kinda like History. Right, onto bigger things; part of that little bit was to lengthen blogs because I love long blogs,

it makes you look interesting when people enter your page, like you must have a lot to say... but truth is, of late, I don't really. However - James Marsters' website has put up dates for his Union Chapel concert in London, which I will get to even if it kills me and one more after that will mean I can tick off the list of things to do before I die: "Go to 5 James Marsters concerts". Yeah, I'm
lame. Kafie may be going too (if you've read my older blogs you'll know that this will instigate trouble) - oh yay!!! And in other news of my life, Jake is in
Little Shop Of Horrors most nights this week and I will be going to see him on Thursday and last night I went to see 'Yesman' with Jack and got a little tipsy on a lot less than what didn't even affect me on New Years Eve, must be my mood... we were dancing as we came out of the Cinema and when he dropped me off I ran through the snow singing Michael Finnigan. If you don't know it, it's an old Irish song and once you start you really can't stop, it can potentially go on forever, this is it:
I knew a man named Michael Finnigan
He had whiskers on his Chin-nigan
A wind came along and blew 'em in again
Poor old Michael Finnigan - begin again
It's so annoying but you just can't stop. And may I pause to add on a completely different note that Bill Bryson is possibly the best author in the World. Well, alive today, because no one beats Billy Shakespeare. I'm so glad to finally be approved for his fanlisting. And the title of this blog comes from one of his books: "Notes From A Small Island". It's so amazing... and he's wrote fantastic other novels too which I greatly recommend: Neither Here Nor There, Shakespeare, A Short History Of Nearly Everything... all of them, basically. He even received a honorary Knighthood from the Queen which is pretty hard to get because you can only technically get Knighthoods if you're born a British citizen. And again off topic, I'm one episode away from the end of Roswell! Aagh,
Sacre Bleu!!! But I get the feeling it's going to be awesome.
As is me, I would like to finish marvelously off topic with a little poem by Shakespeare:
This royal throne of Kings, this scepter'd isle,
This Earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself,
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this Earth, this Realm,
this England.
Goodbye, Au Revoir, Auf Wiedersehen, Adios, Sayonara, Arrivederci, Tot ziens, and many others...
